How to Apply for the NET

How to Apply for the  NUST NET : The NET is held three times in one academic year and if you choose to appear in all of them you have to apply anew every time. The registration process is pretty simple and hassle free. Registrations open one month before the tests start and remain open for around 30 days. So keep an eye out and here are some tips to guide you through the application process.

How to Apply for the NET

SIGN UP:

The initial step involves signing up on the Undergraduate Admissions site. Use your active email ID to sign up. Once you’ve done that, an email will be sent to you including a username and password you would need to sign in to your NET registration account.

FILL OUT THE FORM:

Once you’ve received an email from NUST including the username and password, use that information to log in to your account. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be required to fill in the registration form. The form includes your basic bio-data, passport size picture, your Matric/O Levels scores or equivalent marks, your FSc. /A Levels scores or equivalent marks. So once you start filling in the form make sure you have all these required documents with you. If you don’t, no need to worry. At any point you can save your progress and continue from where you left off. You will also be required to select which program you’re applying for: Engineering, Architecture, Medicine or Business Studies. If you want to give the NET for more than one course, you’ll have to make a new account. Once you’ve added all the required information, submit your form.

PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE:

Once you’ve submitted the form, you’d be required to print out the fee challan for the registration fee. There are two ways to pay the fee, you can either pay it online or directly transfer the amount in the account mentioned on the challan. The registration fee is Rs. 3000 per exam.

SELECT YOUR TEST DATE:

Once you get a confirmation email from NUST about the payment of the registration fee, you’d be then asked to select a venue, date and time for your NET. Pick a time which suits you best. All tests have an equal difficulty level, pick a date which you’re confident with. Try to pick one at the earliest.

PRINT OUT YOUR ENTRY SLIP:

After you’ve selected your NET venue, date and time, you’ll then be required to print out the entry slip. This entry slip is very important, don’t forget to take it with you on your test day along with your ID Card or B-Form.
